Partial Research Achievements

Isolation and cultivation of multiple rare medicinal fungal strains, establishing comprehensive strain databases for Cordyceps sinensis, Cordyceps militaris, Ganoderma lucidum (Reishi), and several other species.
Participation in the formulation of the national standard for Cordyceps militaris.
Completed the targeted extraction of multiple active components from traditional medicinal materials, including Ganoderma triterpenoids and cordycepin.
Led the development of the national standard reference sample "Cordycepin Purity Standard Sample," which has successfully passed official project review and approval.

Research Institute of Chinese Medicine Formula of Essential Oils

Led by Professor Miao Mingsan, renowned Qihuang Scholar and former Vice President of Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Institute applies the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine to formulate compound essential oils by combining single essential oils with proven therapeutic efficacy. These formulations can be used externally, orally, or through inhalation, representing a breakthrough in traditional administration methods. The Institute’s exclusive product, “Essential Oil Energy Patches,” has already been launched on the market and has received excellent user feedback.

Joint Laboratory for Gut Microbiome Research in Longevity Populations

Headed by Professor Li Wenjun of Sun Yat-sen University, recipient of the Berger Award, this laboratory focuses on the gut microbial ecosystem of long-lived populations as its primary research subject. It is dedicated to constructing an ecological model of probiotics in longevity populations, systematically conducting strain isolation, cultivation, and functional identification. Through this work, the team explores high-quality probiotic resources with significant health-promoting properties and uncovers the mechanisms behind their beneficial effects.

Intelligent Model Center for Sleep Disorders

In collaboration with the Institute of Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, FOHOW is jointly developing a multi-modal intelligent model for sleep disorder diagnosis and treatment. Based on a comprehensive and high-quality TCM syndrome differentiation database, the project aims to utilize natural language interaction to collect user-reported symptoms and employ a mobile app for diagnosis. Through this system, users will be able to assess their sleep quality and receive personalized health and wellness recommendations tailored to their individual needs.
